Milan Design Week (aka Salone del Mobile) always brings exciting collaborations involving the food and beverage world. This year’s lineup features several food- and drink-focused events and whatnot, but I’m particularly delighted about a collaboration between Ginarte and Piero Lissoni (pictured above), a renowned designer and architect who designed a limited-edition bottle for the premium Italian gin. Described by Lissoni as “a dialogue between geometry and transparency,” the new bottle design packs so much more than just visual allure; it’s a concept crafted to encapsulate Ginarte’s core philosophy: that a gin can be more than just a spirit—it be an artistic, sensory, and cultural experience.
Where to See (and Sip) It
From April 7 to 16, design lovers can admire the bottle at the Brera neighborhood’s Argenteria Dabbene (Largo Treves at Via Balzan, 2). The exhibit, curated by Lissoni & Partners, plays with the purity of glass and the sharp lines of the bottle to create a visually and conceptually immersive experience.
Also, as part of Fuorisalone, the following cocktail bars in Milan are mixing up special cocktails in honor of the collaboration:
- Mio Lab by Park Hyatt Milano, Via Silvio Pellico, 3,(adjacent to the Galleria)
- Officina, Via Giovenale, 7 (Bocconi)
- Bob Isola, Via Borsieri, 30 (Isola)
- Chinese Box, Corso Garibaldi, 104 (Moscova)
- Just Me (Torre Branca, (Parco Sempione/Sempione Park)
- Pineta Milan, Via Messina, 38
Should you not be in Milan for Design Week but find yourself in the Tuscan capital for Florence Cocktail Week, which kicks off on April 8, you can also avail yourself there.

The Spirit of Art
The Ginarte bottle never fails to make an artistic statement, with each edition having been personalized by painters, photographers, tattoo artists, and designers. Inside the bottle, the gin itself is distilled from botanicals that, once upon a time, Renaissance artists mixed into their pigments, such as nepitella, safflower, madder, reseda, and woad from Montefeltro—alongside angelica, lavender, hibiscus, elderflower, and pine essences.
About the Maestro Behind the Bottle
Piero Lissoni needs no introduction in the design world. For nearly four decades, he’s crafted architecture, interiors, and products that have shaped the global design landscape. From luxury hotels like The Middle House in Shanghai and The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Miami Beach to sleek yacht interiors and flagship showrooms, Lissoni’s work is synonymous with modern sophistication. His numerous accolades and distinctions include the Compasso d’Oro for Lifetime Achievement.
Not Only in Milan
Milan Design Week doesn’t mark the be-all and end-all of the Ginarte-Lissone collaboration, with activations already planned in Paris and Barcelona.
