Christmas lunch at this excellent newish restaurant goes for 110€ per person for a three-course tasting, a variety of appetizers, fruit, and panettone as well as a glass of Alsatian cremant and a dessert wine for good measure. (Missori) website

Andrea Berton’s Michelin-starred restaurant is open on December 24 for dinner and December 25 for lunch with two special tasting menus that start at 180€ and 210€ per person respectively (beverages excluded) –there’s an option to add Alba white truffles to two or three courses on each menu. Cafè Cracco
Chef Carlo Cracco has curated a tasting menu for Christmas lunch at Cafè Cracco, located on the ground floor of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, just below his Michelin-starred restaurant. The five-course tasting menu goes for 170€ per person, beverages excluded. (Galleria) website

This charming traditional trattoria on the outskirts of Milan is open for Christmas lunch. The holiday tasting menu costs 85€ (beverages excluded), and there’s also a special menu for children for 25€. (Selvanesco) website
Osteria Brunello
Open for both lunch and dinner. the four-course winter menu is on offer 62€ —any of the items can be ordered a la carte. And don’t let its Tuscan name fool you — this ever-reliable mainstay serves one of the city’s best iterations of the costoletta alla milanese. (Corso Garibaldi) website
Antica Osteria il Ronchettino
This restaurant inside a 19th-century farmhouse will be open for Christmas lunch, serving a special menu for 120€. (Gratosoglio) website
